Someday it will be funny....

So yesterday I was blissfully taking care of things around the house. I cooked lunch for my children - ramen noodles (you're impressed, I know) and gave them a bunch of grapes. I stepped out of the room to make a phone call. I heard the children laughing but that's fairly normal. They spend lots of time trying to make each other laugh (don't know whose children they are =o). I came back in the room to check on them to find the worst possible mess EVER. I'm not kidding!! They had gotten into a food fight and there were ramen noodles everywhere - all over the table, the chairs, the floor... they even managed to throw them into the living room and the hallway! Seriously, it was like 200 square feet covered in ramen!!! Obviously the older two were the culprits because the baby was covered from head to toe in noodles and then they had capped it all off by dumping the crumbs from the Cheese Nips box over her head! They tarred and feathered her - food fight style! (It occurred to me as I was washing the Cheese Nips out of Sarah's hair that I really should have taken a picture. ) I forced Paige and Porter to crawl around and pick up the noodles. Today I will get out the trusty vacuum cleaner to get the rest. (Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad in a normal dining room but we have carpet right now so there is no quick sweeping up of the mess. You have to let things dry out so you don't gum up the vacuum....ugg.) I did take a couple pictures of the room but they don't do it justice. To all those who read this, go ahead and laugh. Just wait a while to ask me about it unless you wanna see my best grumpy mom look, k?
